Paul is a brave boy. Yesterday I took him to update his shot record for kindergarten. We thought he was due for three boosters but it turned out that he needed four. The best news of the day was that he doesn’t need another shot until the year 2013. Phew!

I just finished reading a new novel called The Outcast by Sadie Jones. Overall the book was interesting but it failed to fully capture my imagination. Yesterday was my birthday and Adam decided that the family should go to Dairy Queen after dinner for a celebratory ice cream party. Paul went to his room and emptied the change from his dinosaur bank to “pay for mommy’s ice cream.” Isn’t that sweet?
