The kids and I have fallen in love with another San Diego landmark, Mission Trails Regional Park. We only scratched the surface of the park’s 5,800 acres while exploring the hiking trails near Old Mission Dam. Mission Trails Park is a twenty minute drive from my house but I was surprised by how far removed I felt from the city landscape. Megan and Paul were in the mood to explore – it didn’t take long for Paul to grab a stick and eagerly lead the way. I’m thinking this might become a New Year’s Day tradition.

I absolutely love this picture!
Great picture of the kids. You need to pull it out on the days they aren’t getting along & remind them of how much they love each other. But the fact that they take a great pic together tells me they probably don’t have those days very often.
