Giveaway: Pillsbury “Home is Calling” Gift Basket

I enjoy creating food from scratch, especially special meals like Thanksgiving and Christmas. Adam can attest to the fact that I’ve spent many such occasions slaving away in the kitchen convinced that every item on the table must be homemade. Thankfully (for the sake of my own sanity) I’ve become more relaxed over the years. I still love cooking from scratch but I’ve also accepted that store bought doesn’t mean “bad”. Take for example one of my personal favorites, Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. These yummy rolls are a crowd pleaser in my house (with two picky kids, it’s not very often that we all agree on what we like). Plus I get to enjoy the delicious aroma of bread from my oven with hardly any effort at all. Why would I want to mess with a good thing like that?

Pillsbury contacted me to help to spread the word about their Home is Calling campaign. This holiday Pillsbury has partnered with Feeding America to share the warmth of home by helping stock America’s food banks. They need your help too. When you watch the commercial on their website and forward along the link to friends and family, Pillsbury will make a donation to help deliver more than one pound of groceries to America’s food banks! It’s a win-win situation.

Here is another way to “win”. Pillsbury is giving away three “Home is Calling” Gift Baskets (the basket includes a coupon for Pillsbury refrigerated crescent rolls, a magnetic coupon holder, a house-shaped mouse pad, pot holders, a cookie sheet, a bread basket and a loveable Pillsbury Doughboy figurine.) To enter, leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite Pillsbury product or share your favorite part about a family meal. The giveaway will end at 5pm on Saturday, December 6th. I will contact the winners via email.

My favorite are the crescent rolls as well! They are a crowd pleaser here! In fact, I just made pigs in the blanket for breakfast on Thanksgiving, and reading this post got me thinking about Chicken Broccoli Braid. My husband just said he would love it for his birthday on Monday! Great giveaway!

We like to fill the crescent rolls with chocolate chips before rolling, then bake and drizzle powdered sugar icing before eating!

Thanks for the contest…
