These are the leaves in my backyard. (Compare them to this picture from last year.) This past week was the closest thing to fall weather I’ve experienced since moving to San Diego. Over the weekend the temperatures dropped into the jacket zone and on Tuesday morning it rained for the first time. I was literally in shock when I opened the door to walk the kids to school. Rain? What’s that? We’ve had a few drizzles here and there but none of the rain showers has lasted more than five minutes. By afternoon the sun came out and the rainy day spell was broken. As much as I enjoyed the short bout of fall weather, I’m loving my November attire of t-shirt and shorts. It’s quite a contrast from last year!
