Wordless Wednesday: My S.T.A.R. Students

Every month my kid’s school celebrates student academic and character achievement (citizenship) at an awards assembly. This month both Megan and Paul were recipients of the S.T.A.R. award (Scholarship-Talent-Attitude-Respect). Paul was recognized for his “Excellent Writing.” His teacher wrote, “Paul has earned a star award this month for his excellent writing! He enjoys writing in his journal each day and has creative ideas. He effectively uses our sight words that we have learned within his sentences and he understands how to sound out unknown words. His writing is very neat and he even includes spacing and punctuation. Congratulations Paul!”

Megan received an award for excellence in “Reading and Language Arts.” Megan is the highest level reader in her class. She just loves to read!
