One of my “kids” always pretended to be a cat. I thought it was cute, but I’m not a cat person & the thing I dislike most is them rubbing up against me all the time. Molly was no different; she would crawl past me & rub her arms, legs, you-name-it on my legs as she passed. Let’s just say it was a little too realistic for me!

All of my kids pretended to be dogs/cats/bears/lion etc. many times. I always enjoyed watching them use their imagination. That’s one of the things I miss the most, from them being young. The extra bonus is when they do things like that they are usually getting along.

I should add that the really odd part is that the game lasted ALL day and that the kids played together and were getting along perfectly.

It’s actually quite healthy and normal for kids to play “pretend”. It shows above average intelligence and creativity. My younger brother used to pretend to be “Judy, the cat” when he was a child. Your children are just fine and will go on to do great things.
