This painting was hanging on the wall of our hotel room in San Diego. The girl in the picture watched over me while I slept. It’s not hard to guess why she was given the nickname “creepy girl.” Something about her just isn’t right.

Is it the elvish ears?
That would be one of them!
Very strange – creepy to feel watched by a portrait like that. Thanks for stopping by!
Yep, gonna have to agree. Pretty creepy! That’s not the normal hotel art…
Ohhhh…that is creepy girl!! How did you sleep??
Yes, the ears and it feels like she’s watching you. Not a good choice for a hotel room!
Yeah, the story is that this portrait is in most of the resorts rooms. Apparently the woman who owns the resort loves it.
So, who is right? The hundreds of customers who call it creepy each week or the owner?
Very strange indeed.
I’d have put a towel over her. She’s creepy indeed.
That picture would probably make it really hard for me to sleep!
One thing you probably can’t see in the picture is that although the girl is holding a rose there are no other roses in bloom on the potted bush in the picture. Isn’t that a little odd?
I agree, creepy. I would have had to cover her up!
Did her eyes follow you wherever you went? When I was growing up, we had an old photo in our barn/garage of one of my great great uncle’s. I swear he looked at you wherever you went. Creepy!
Besides the ears, it’s also the beady eyes.
HMMM i wouldn’t sleep well with her watching me all night!
I still think Noah would take creepy girl over deer head any day! We slept under Eddie’s mounted deer head that looked down on us when we went to visit Sue in WI & Noah was disturbed that he wouldn’t shut his eyes & go to sleep.
LOL, I love creepy old paintings, so I would have been right at home!
I bet she is now a creepy old lady
We saw this freaky girl last year when we were there. My boyfriend covered her up. Freaked us out the whole time.
Does anyone actually know the name of the portrait?
