My mother's backyard is THE place to be - if there's a family party, chances are it's in my mother's backyard. I keep a little list of things that need to be fixed or repaired so that I can just plow through it some days -- I even put "change out lightbulb in garage" on the list, just so it doesn't go for months without being done.
