Wordless Wednesday (Cousins)

Each year my family sets aside a day in June to celebrate anniversaries and birthdays. My parents, my older sister and myself all celebrate our wedding anniversaries in June. Three out of the twelve of us have our birthdays. This year the day that was convenient for all of us to get together was Father’s Day. Instead of meeting at a restaurant like we normally do, we opted for a picnic at the park. The six grandchildren were free to roam rather than being expected to behave at a restaurant.

One thing that I love about family outings is watching my children interact with their cousins. My niece is one year older than Megan and one of my three nephews (on my side of the family) is just a few months older than Paul. Here they are enjoying the sprinkler park.

The girls…

(see how they’ve grown)

And the boys…

Kind of scary how similar Megan and Ally look. It’s much more evident in picture than in real life!

The similarities are scary, aren’t they? It is funny that both girls have blond hair and blue eyes – totally unlike their mothers.
