Right on schedule the caterpillars have curled up and hardened into chrysalids. Pretty amazing. We’ve moved the chrysalids to a “butterfly tent” so that the butterflies will have room to fly around when they emerge. It should only be a few more days of waiting.
(Sorry about the crumby cell phone camera images. My camera is broken. Thanks to George W. Bush I should be the proud owner of a digital SLR in the very near future. I can’t wait to take decent photos again! Although I admit that I’m slightly intimidated by the prospect of learning new technology. I’m more of a point and click person.)
