I Like To Ride My Bicycle

13.jpgInspired by Metropolitan Mama’s Fuji Crosstown 2.0 bicycle giveaway, I hopped on my bike this morning to meander the Macomb Orchard Trail. I rode from 32 to 27 Mile Rd. I always enjoy the wildlife along the way – many different kinds of birds and the occasional bunny. I didn’t (never do) plan well for the fact that at some point I would have to turn around and ride the other five miles back home – with a 40 lb child in tow and the wind in my face. Needless to say, the ride home was more of a challenge. It was still nice to get out and ride my bicycle. I’ve had a good week of meeting my fitness goals. Besides riding my bicycle this morning, I’ve had two good runs. If only I could put an end to my chocolate cravings.

P.S. Paul took this “inside the bike trailer” picture two summers ago. He took some nice close-ups of my behind too. I’ll spare you those photos.

It’s the sneaky trail. From 28 to 30 there is an up hill grade that you can’t see but you can definitely feel. We’ll have to ride together sometime

That combined with the force of the wind when you hit the open patch of pumpkin fields can be a real killer.

Good for you! That ride sounded refreshing! I wish I could have hopped on a bike and gone along with you.
