WFMW: Reading Books Online

by Kristen McLane on April 22, 2008

In February I joined a book club. I talk a lot about children’s books on my blog but this book club is just for grown-ups. I’m getting to know a great group of ladies from my community and I’m doing something that I love…reading! Another plus is that most of the members [...]

by Kristen McLane on April 21, 2008

by Kristen McLane on April 18, 2008

This week I’ve been listening over and over again to a new worship album called Empty and Beautiful by Matt Maher. The music and lyrics have really spoken to my heart because they reflect the heart of God. These are Matt’s own words regarding the title song:

“‘Hold fast to the confessions you have [...]

Adam’s baby received an awesome mention in the May 2008 edition of Christianity Today magazine (pg 73). It is included in a list of “favorite youth-ministry websites of Mark Oestreicher, president of Youth Specialties.”

Goodbye Is Bittersweet

by Kristen McLane on April 17, 2008

Adam is in the habit of inviting people that I’ve never met before to stay in our home. The first time sounded like this, “By the way Kristen, this is Dave. He is going to live in our basement next summer.” Dave was Adam’s Northern Irish teammate three summers ago when Adam [...]
