Checking In On My Life

A week ago I wrote about my goal to start moving. Last week included two runs and one bike ride. I also did a heap of yard work and completed a kitchen painting project. It was a busy week but I’m satisfied with everything that was accomplished.

In other news our plumbing saga continued, making it impossible to do any laundry at home. Gotta love old houses. (Thanks Barb for letting me use your washing machine!) The good news is that as of yesterday the problem is solved (or so I’m told). I’m a laid back person but having things broken in the house wears on me. The mountain of dirty laundry didn’t help.

Lastly Adam spent most of last week recovering from the flu. That was “fun.”

This week promises to be equally busy. For one thing we have house guests coming on Saturday. Adam and I are suddenly motivated to finish some household projects. Not that our guests would care, but we do. The big project this week will be to paint the stairwell. When we bought the house it was covered in a hideous brown seventies style wallpaper. The hard work - removing five layers of wallpaper - is done and now we just have to prime and paint.

Ah, life never takes a break does it?
