Megan, who is six…soon to be seven, is learning about perspective. Yesterday while we were walking home from school she told me, “Kindergarten was so boring.” I reminded her how much she enjoyed Kindergarten. To which she replied, “That’s because I didn’t know about First Grade.”
Kindergarten couldn’t have been that bad because yesterday I also overheard Megan telling Paul how much he is going to love Kindergarten. She might have a future as a motivational speaker (if the superhero gig falls through).
Here is one more example of how Megan processes things… At bedtime Megan was reading a princess story book. One part of the book has flip pages to mix and match the princess’s wardrobe. Megan said she liked all the outfits except the last one which she called hideous. Hideous, now there’s a word you don’t often hear from a six year old.

This so totally sounds like something Grace would say & do! It must be a six year old thing.
