I love DQ Reese’s blizzards, but lately we’ve been making them ourselves. We just buy vanilla ice cream and Reese’s…and smash them together. It’s just as good and MUCH cheaper!!!
Oh man I have been waiting and waiting for our DQ TO OPEN, LOL. I have to get in the habit of sharing my blizzard with my daughter since she seems to like them to and we can’t eat a small one on our own. Yeah spring!!!!
At the risk of this sounding silly or rude (and not meant either way) …your Dairy Queen is not open year round? Seriously? We have a DQ right down the street. I kept them in business while pregnant through the winter. I guess being in the South makes a difference. Cool picture! Happy WW!
I’m like you Mandy, I thought all DQ’s were open year round until I moved to AZ. There is one here in town and one in the next town over, both of them close for the season but the 2 in the town over (different direction) is open year round.
Mandy, here in Michigan DQ is seasonal. At least this kind of DQ is. It’s the old school “ice cream stand” variety. There is an inside to it, but only a little sliver of sugar covered tile covered in glass.
Besides, when there is 2 feet of snow on the ground a blizzard isn’t quite as appealing as you’d think.
Before my husband thinks I’m rude, I did personally respond to all these questions. But maybe others were wondering too. Yes, I took the picture last week during Megan’s spring break. It was a sunny day but still in the 40’s. You may have noticed that my daughter is wearing a jacket. That’s because our local DQ is “walk through” only with outdoor picnic table seating. There are other DQ’s in Michigan that are restaurant style with seating inside and therefore open year round.
Thanks for all of the clarification! Our DQ is a restaurant-style. But…either way, it is open all year. Hooray for that, I say! Y’all just need to move down south for ice cream all year. It was 81 today in South Carolina!!
