Plumbing Disaster…Solved!
I’m extremely grateful for our plumber friend who came up with a creative solution to our drainage problems. He purchased new PVC pipes and installed them above our heads (instead of going below which would have involved breaking up the basement floor). The pipes no longer drain into the “hole” (see picture in previous post). That hole will be cemented over as if it never existed. Also, in the process, my washing machine was hooked up (we had been using an older noisy unit that came with the house) and my utility sink was moved into a better position. Now if only he could have done my laundry too.

Oh, man…being without proper plumbing is NOT a good thing! Glad to hear you got it fixed. Good luck w/ the laundry! Maybe you can convince the kids that sorting socks in FUN!
