There are three types of learners:
Visual Learners (learn by reading, seeing)
Auditory Learners (learn by listening, speaking)
Kinesthetic Learners (learn by moving, doing and touching)A learning style is simply the way that your child approaches learning. Picture Books are an excellent way to develop your child’s learning style from the earliest age. Gallop!: A Scanimation Picture Book

by Rufus Butler Seder appeals to all three styles of learners. Scanimation is an amazing technology that literally makes the artwork move when you flip the page.
Simple prose (“Can you soar like an eagle? Whoosh-whoosh-glide”) combined with animated artwork make this book a must-have for your picture book collection. I can’t tell you who was more fascinated with this book…myself or my kids.
WIN IT! I was so excited when I discovered Gallop! that I contacted the publisher – any book that keeps my son occupied during an entire trip to Costco is worth publicizing! Workman Publishing graciously sent me one copy of Gallop! to giveaway. Enter by commenting with the name of your favorite picture book. The giveaway will end at 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 23rd. I will notify the winner via e-mail. Stay tuned this week for more giveaways.

My boys love all sorts of books, but both love the Curious George books (and it is one of my favorites too!)
DS, DH and I really like “Please, Baby, Please”!
My favorite picture book is Where the Wildthings Are.
My favorite picture book is probaby “Quick as a Cricket” because my mother used to read it to us frequently. My son’s favorite is “Chugga Chugga Choo Choo.” I highly recommend both! I saw this Gallop! book in Babies ‘R Us just today and it looks really good. Thanks!
I love Goodnight Moon. It is a classic!

Oh wow…I would love to have Gallop. Both of my girls would love this book. Older daughter has a love for reading and likes books that also have something a little different and intresting to them and my younger daughter really enjoys someone reading to her and I think this book would really strike her imagination!
The first book I can remember as a child was Goodnight Moon. I have always loved it and now it’s one of my son’s favorites. Gallop looks great…thanks for the chance at the giveaway!
any eric carle book is great for pictures, but we found The Very Hungry Caterpillar right off the bat and still love it…and all his other books, too!
It’s a toss up between Olivia and Where the Wild Things Are. I’m also with you… not sure who enjoys the books more! Thanks for the contest and introducing us to Gallop.
My favorite picture books are the Coco board books by the woman who made Bitter with Baggage. I love those little chicks.
