I can't wait to read more about your new mother daughter book club. And if you're searching for ideas about books to read, activities for your meetings, and author interviews, visit www.motherdaughterbookclub.com when you get a chance.

It's a resource for members of mother daughter book clubs as well as interested readers who aren't in a club.

There are only a few recommendations from readers in the age group you're starting with, and I'd love to hear about the titles you read and recommend so I can post them for others who are just starting out. And if any moms or daughters want to write a review on a book you read, I'd love to get it.

Good luck with your club. If you have any questions you can email me at info@motherdaughterbookclub.com. -- Cindy Hudson

I need to head to the library right now. That book sounds great! And although we connect personal situations to the fictional ones in the stories we read to our daughters, I don't think we've purposely done something physical like that. Great idea; thanks!

Barb, your mother-daughter book club is what inspired me to try my own. Crystal is the other mom who is going to help me. She is the detailed, organized planner so I think we will balance each other well. I've already had a few families from Megan's school interested in joining us. I look forward to the social aspect of the club too.

Autumn and I were in a Mother/Daughter book club for years. It was a lot of fun. The girls took turns picking out books and mom's took time hosting it. The first part of the book club was discussing the book, and maybe a craft. The last part was mom's talking and the girls played. Sometimes Autumn and I read are books separately, but most often we read them together. It was a great time and many memories.

I love this idea. We have never read the book. We'll have to check it out from the library soon. Thanks.
