Thirteen Random Thoughts
When I woke up this morning I had the strange feeling that I’d forgotten to take Paul out of the car last night after MainStreet (he fell asleep on the way home). Then I remembered carrying him up the stairs. Because it’s hard to forget 40lbs of dead weight. What a terrible thought to wake up with!
I’ve had several weird dreams this week. One night I dreamed that Paul’s cat, Explorer Firecat McLane, talked to me! If only I could remember what he said.
Yesterday Megan had a snow day. I took the kids to see Alvin & the Chipmunks. I’m usually the cheap parent but this time we all picked out a treat. Paul surprised me by choosing fruit snacks over candy. Megan chose Milk Duds. I showed restraint and ordered a Diet Coke.
Speaking of snow days, Romeo Community Schools are now one day over their snow day allotment. Yesterday was a gorgeous day reaching a high near 45 degrees. Romeo only had a few inches of snow but other areas in Metro Detroit reported up to ten inches.
My friend Andrea is home this week from Michigan State and she brought her roommate (who is from China and couldn’t exactly fly home for spring break). They have hung out and spent the night at my house a couple times.
I rented a movie from the library this week which turned out to be a total dud. I’m hoping to redeem myself tonight. Netflix sent me Michael Clayton and Into the Wild.
Adam still holds the family title for the worst movie pick movie ever. Many years ago we went on a movie date and saw this movie. There’s a good reason you’ve never heard of it.
Adam and I have another youth group all-night party on Friday (the second in two months). Have I mentioned before that I’m getting too old to stay up all night? We are playing indoor paintball (”Reball”) and as proof that it’s not all about him, Adam added bowling to the rotation. (Adam hates bowling - unless it’s on the Wii.) Sometime during the night the girls are going to sneak off and do girly stuff like painting our nails and soaking in the hot tub. The guys will not even know that we are gone because they will be zoned out playing Rock Band and Guitar Hero.

I joined a book club! This month’s book is called No Greater Glory: The Four Immortal Chaplains and the Sinking of the Dorchester in World War II. I’d better start reading. We meet this coming Wednesday.
5 Minutes for Mom is hosting the Ultimate Blog Party and I’m going to be there. Party at my blog starting tomorrow.
Don’t forget to spring forward on Sunday.
Finding thirteen things to write about myself is harder than it sounds.

Interesting list….I personally had a number of weird dreams this week too.
Hope you’ll visit my TT this week.
