Children’s Book Review: Fairy Blossoms
Fairy Blossoms #1: Daisy and the Magic Lesson (Fairy Blossoms) By Suzanne Williams
Step into the magical world of flower fairies with Daisy and her new friends at Mistress Lily’s Fairy School. The enthusiastic but inexperienced students learn a valuable lesson when they try to help a human but find themselves in over their heads. At first Daisy is intimidated by her fairy friends. Daisy learns to believe in herself when her courage is tested.
Fairy Blossoms is a series of six books that will become available for purchase in the summer of 2008. I recently had the opportunity to review Fairy Blossoms as a member of HarperCollin’s FirstLook program. The books are recommended for children in grades 2 to 5 (ages 7-10). My six year old daughter and four year old son both listened intently while I read the story of Daisy out loud. Fairies, friendship, adventure and heartwarming lessons are what will make readers fall in love with the Fairy Blossoms Series.
For fairy lovers young and old here are more fun fairy activities and imagination builders: build a fairy house, make flower friends, create petal portraits and “plant” a fairy chair in your garden. For the more sophisticated fairy aficionado (i.e. the grown-up who refuses to grow up) add a little touch of fairy to your home with a fairy door.

I loved the video of Megan. She seems like a lot of fun & full of personality. I’m sure they would have lots of fun together.
