While Adam fantasizes about going to Helsinki for our next vacation, Megan and I fantasize about going to Hawaii. In our minds we have already planned out our elaborate mother-daughter getaway. I think that even Adam would have to agree that Hawaii sounds pretty good compared to our cold Michigan winter.

My parents got to go to Hwiey a few years ago. I was very jealous. If I never make it there, I’m just asking God to design my mansion with an ocean view…sunsets included.
This is adorable! Dave and I have been to Hawaii and Mauai and we have been amazed at how affordable it was! The first time, we went with friends who go often, but found that it was only $500 more to stay in a resort for 6 nights! We ended up getting upgraded to an ocean front room for no extra cost. The second time, we had rented a Geo Tracker, but when we showed up to pick it up, they were out. They asked us if we would be okay taking a Mustang convertible for no extra cost!! It was AWESOME!!!

I wasn’t kidding about Helsinki. Adam has a thing for places that are more known for rain than sunshine. Those have been great vacations but I wouldn’t mind a sunny beach somewhere exotic (Florida was great too but our most exotic experience was unwittingly spending the day at a gay beach). I do hear that Helsinki has some wonderful hot springs!
Yes, you must go to Hawaii! My husband and I went there for a wedding, and we LOVED it. It was so beautiful and fun. I seriously cried when I we had to leave.

I love the way she spells Hawaii! I can’t blame her for wanting to go…I live in NY and it’s all snow here right now. I’m thinking about the beach too!
