A Dream Exposes My Inner Geek

These days I don’t recall many dreams. But last night I actually woke up and had trouble sleeping after a bad dream. I dreamt there was a fire at my library. The building and thousands of books were destroyed. It was disturbing. I think I am spending too much time at the library. I had a good laugh about it in the morning.

It also made me recall Megan’s dream from last year when she was in kindergarten. She dreamt she was a member of a secret book club held in the basement of her elementary school (which doesn’t have a basement that I’m aware of). She described in vivid detail how the book club would sneak away into the basement to read. Girls in kindergarten are supposed to dream about fairies and bunnies and cute little kittens. Not book clubs. I guess all I can say is “like mother, like daughter.”

Speaking of the library, Megan and I are going on a mother-daughter Valentine’s date to the Kezar library. If you live in or around Romeo you are welcome to join us Saturday at 1:00p.m. We will be making a “chocolate craft creation” under the direction of two local businesses, Juliet Chocolates and The Crazy Loon Cafe & Pie Company as part of Romeo Romantic Days. The workshop is free but you have to register (586) 752-2583.
