Netflix: Week One

I love my Netflix subscription. This past week we ordered The Game Plan and Live Free or Die Hard. The movies arrived in the mail on Thursday prompting an informal family movie night. Megan in particular enjoyed The Game Plan. I was prepared not to be impressed with the movie but it was actually quite entertaining. The Rock, a former champion professional wrestler, donning ballet tights is classic. The movie wasn’t all laughs – there were several tenderhearted moments as well. I gave The Game Plan a 4 out of 5 stars for being a quality kid’s movie that parents will enjoy as well.

Adam and I watched Live Free or Die Hard on Friday night after the kids were in bed. It is what I expected…full of action and unrealistic but it held my attention the entire time. I’m a closeted Die Hard fan. It’s hard not to admire the stubborn persistence of John McClane. I gave Live Free or Die Hard a 3 out of 5 stars. Not Oscar-worthy but deserving of a rental.

Next up on my Netflix queue are The Waitress and After The Wedding.

I love my Netflix although I recently dropped from 3 at a time to 2 at a time. We weren’t watching enough to make it worth 3 at a time. I really enjoyed watching The Waitress. I watched it on a Saturday morning while my husband was sleeping. I thought it was a good chick flick.
