A Quick Funny Story
I was browsing the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival this morning and came across this blog that links to an author’s website that is hosting a fun giveaway for a “Ma Spa Basket” (a gift basket including the author’s books). To enter the giveaway you have to share your funniest/craziest/most embarrassing pregnancy story. Here is my quick story:
My best pregnancy story…When I was pregnant with my 1st child my husband and I had an ultrasound and were told that the baby was a boy. We had both felt strongly that I was carrying a girl but we weren’t ones to argue with technology. Months passed. We painted our nursery blue and gold and decorated with things related to my husband’s favorite football team. I insisted at all my baby showers to be given clothes with boy colors - no neutrals for me. It was all or nothing. Fast forward to the day of delivery. The nurse was setting out the cap and wanted to know what we were having. She disagreed with our “boy” answer and set out a little pink cap instead. I was too exhausted at that point to care. My child was born and whisked away to the other side of the room due to some possible complications. It wasn’t until my husband walked over with the video camera and exclaimed, “Our boy doesn’t have a piece!”, that we found out I had indeed delivered a beautiful baby girl. Imagine the surprise of all our family and friends. I could only hear my husband’s side of the conversation, “…no REALLY, her name is Megan!” We were thrilled with our daughter and a couple years later our son was born.
