I Want This
I’ve been reading the buzz about Wii Fit which is set to be released in the US in early 2008. (It is already popular in Japan.) This looks cool. It comes with a wireless balance board that you stand on while doing exercises like yoga and aerobics. The board works by measuring shifts in body weight. A lot of the exercises focus on balance and building core body strength. Wii Fit also includes fun mini-games like head-butting soccer balls into a goal and hula-hooping. The games record your results and even allow you to compete against friends (who burns the most fat, etc). Click here for video demonstrations.
This would be the first time I’ve ever been excited about buying a video game. I haven’t been able to figure out what it will cost. I imagine that it will be pricey. It is sold in Japan for the US equivalent of $79. I’m definitely going to stay tuned-in for this one.

No…we’re not youth pastoring anymore. When we first moved to OK in ‘99, we started working w/ the youth @ our church, then they hired us on part-time & we were their first & only youth pastor couple for 3 years. But it was a small country church & the kids grew up & graduated, only a couple were moving up & the church couldn’t afford to keep paying us, even part-time. So we started praying for a new job & God opened the door for Phil to teach Bible @ OBA, which he did for 3 years (our magic number, apparently). Now he’s running his own remodeling business & I’m hoping we do it for longer than 3 years.

I can’t wait for this to come out! I heard about it last year and have been wondering when I’m going to be able to buy it. I love my wii and I’ll love even more with this!
