My New Electric Kettle
This is officially my favorite Christmas gift. It is a gift from my parents. My mom shares my enthusiasm for kitchen gadgets so when I suggested an electric tea kettle for Christmas, I knew that I would not be disappointed. Warm drinks are a necessity in my home for driving away wintertime chills. In addition to boiling water for tea and hot chocolate, my husband and I also boil water for coffee which we make in a coffee press. We were getting a lot of use out of our tradition stove top kettle and it was clearly time for an upgrade.
Our new electric kettle is fantastic. It has a seven-cup capacity which is perfect for our family of four. I love how fast it is to use. I simply fill the kettle with water, plug the kettle into it’s base and press a button. Within minutes the water is boiled to a perfect temperature. And although the kettle isn’t insulated, if I forget to use the water right away, it is even faster to reheat. Better yet, the unit turns off automatically so I don’t have to worry about overheating. One final feature that I love is that the kettle itself is cordless. This means that I can easily pour myself a cup of tea or fill the kettle without worrying about dragging a cord with me.
I haven’t found anything I don’t love about this kettle.
