Stepping Up My Game
You may have noticed that I’m playing around with a new theme. I still have more tweaking to do but overall I think the look is sharper and more attractive. I’ve enjoyed blogging. Honestly, I didn’t think that I would. I’ve never been into journaling and my first few attempts at blogging were inconsistent. So why the change of heart? That’s a good question. I think my strongest attraction to blogging is found in community. I’ve been having a blast making new friends and meeting up with old friends. It is fun to connect with people sharing common interests. Most of my posts and the ones that I read center around parenting.
I like my blog but I think it can be better. How can I improve my blog in 2008? That question looms in my mind. The answer to my question came tonight in the form of this article called The 4 C’s of Blogging by David Armano. In short, the article explains that a great blog is built on the principle of the 4 C’s: Community, Consistency, Clarity and Content. The advice is sound and straight-forward. Even though I’ve heard it before, this is advice that is worth visiting every so often to help me focus on my goals. Here’s to stepping up my game in 2008…
