Thanksgiving Recap

Thanksgiving is come and almost gone.  It was quiet this year with just the four of us and my parents.  Here are the highlights:

1) Waking up to snow covering the ground.  I knew the forecast called for snow but I was was too preoccupied with preparing the turkey that it wasn’t until Paul came into the kitchen that I looked out the window (it had still been dark when I woke up).  Paul quickly pulled on his snowsuit, boots and jacket over his pajamas and went outside to explore.  Megan joined him a few minutes later when she woke up.

2) One on one time with Grandma and Grandpa.  Grandpa scored big with presents brought back from his recent trip to Ukraine.  The kids also gave gifts of handmade cards.  They must have spent an hour in Megan’s room creating their gifts.  I love when the kids collaborate on projects.  Come to think about it, there was very little arguing today.  What a blessing!

3) Lots of giggles.  Especially when Grandpa squirted whipped cream into Megan and Paul’s mouths.  Who needs the pie?

4) Good food.  Yup, that about sums it up.
