Dog Vomit

I’m disgusted.  I opened the door this evening and was greeted by two enormous piles of dog vomit.  At least Stoney had gone to the tiled back door and not disposed of the contents of his belly on carpeted areas of the house.  I’ll give him some credit.  The culprit?  Well, the kids and I made "salt dough" ornaments this afternoon and left a few on the dining room table.  I thought they were out of reach of the dog and honestly really didn’t give it much thought.  I was clueless even after cleaning up the vomit.  But when I walked into the dining room and thought, "hmm…the table looks different", then I put two and two together.  So I immediately went to refill Stoney’s empty water dish.  Yep, he gulped it down.  I filled it a second time.  He gulped that one down too.  I filled it a third time and he gulped down half of the water.  No wonder he threw up.  I had made two batches of "dough" and each batch contained a full cup of salt.  Blech!  There were probably a half dozen ornaments that he ate.  I really hope that he is okay now.  For the time being he is chilling in the back yard.
