May
I’m not doing too good updating my blog. But I’ve got at least one entry for every month. May is one of those surreal months. So much to do, so little time. Before you know it, it will be June. Here are my May highlights: 1) Megan turns six. Yes, I can’t believe it. Today I was pricing some clothes that I’m going to sell this weekend at a mom to mom sale. One bag of clothes was filled with newborn to 9 mo sizes. It brought back many memories. I can remember dressing Megan in those outfits and I can remember which were gifts and who they were from. Good times and good friends from my "former life”…the Chicago years. Megan’s party is Sunday. I’m feeling pretty good about it. 2) In ten days I leave for Ireland. It is becoming more and more real. Our first three nights have been "scheduled" - we are staying at a hostel in the North Coast. After that, we wing it. I haven’t even begun to think about packing or what I need or stocking up on Lucky Charms and Cheetoos for Dave. 3) End of school year. We have survived our first year of school (well, just a few more weeks to go). Field trips, field day, and end-of-the-year parties are what Megan has to look forward to. Next year she will be in school for a full day. It is going to be an adjustment to be at school by 8:15am! 4) I’m a soccer mom! Megan loves soccer. Last week we got to see some passion out of her as she came close to scoring a goal.
