A Wash Out
Yesterday we all piled into the car to the Detroit Zoo. It was quite exciting since it was our first trip this year. We had just left the butterfly house when it started to sprinkle. Then came the larger raindrops, then the thunder, then the steady downpour. It didn’t matter that we sought refuge in the polar bear tunnel. We were
soaked. It wasn’t a total "wash-out" though. The animals were unusually active (anticipating the thunderstorm?). We visited our favorite spots, the butterfly house and polar bear tunnel. And Paul got to see his favorite, the lions.
