It is shaping up to be a good but busy day.  A steady light snow has been falling all morning.  Last night with Adam out of town I allowed the kids to sneak into bed with me.  The upstairs was chilly!  We all slept snugly and didn’t wake up 8am.  While sipping my morning green tea I caught up on my Bible reading schedule.  If you are following along with the church, you should have completed up to Acts 14.  Then I did a quick aerobic workout and I still have intentions to do some more "toning" exercises so that I can take a shower and get about my day.

Tonight is our monthly girl’s night.  I’m pretty excited about it.  Our plan is to make tamales but actually, I will be going to the grocery store and begin the process after lunch since it takes about 5 hourse of preperation.  I will need Fran’s expertise on how to roll and steam (cook) the tamales.  Yeah, I could buy tamales but what fun is that?  First stop is Meijers where beef is on sale.  If they don’t have the other neccessary ingredients, then I will stop at the Hispanic grocery store on Main Street.  They are sure to have what I need although last time I was there, not a single person spoke English and my highschool Spanish leaves a lot to be desired.  Another stop to buy dog food and a quick stop at the church to borrow a big pot and I’m good to go.  We also have for our delight a fun movie to enhance our theme, it is called, Three Amigos.  It’s a funny comedy that everyone should enjoy.  Since I watched it as a kid, its unlikely that many otherstudents have seen it.  Crazy how times change.

Tomorrow the kids are in for a treat with my mom coming to town for a few hours.  She is taking us to lunch.  I’m going to suggest Times Square.  I’m craving some of their yummy beef barley soup to warm me up.  After lunch we will surprise the kids and take them to Romeo Theater to see Curious George.

Well, gotta go seeing as it is 10:30 already.  Paul is sitting on my lap naked but wrapped up in his blanky.  He has been doing great potty training.  I think its for real this time.  I haven’t used diapers except at night for a full week now.  Way to go Paul!
